Hardware and Software Requirements
Guy Smiley vs. the Monsters requires a Macintosh computer running System 6.0.4 or greater, 55K of free disk space, 96K of memory, and a 13-inch monitor. Guy Smiley can run comfortably in any color depth and supports depth changes while running.
How to Play
Begin a game by selecting "New Game" from the File menu. (A new game is also begun when you start up Guy Smiley.) You control Guy Smiley, and your mission is to reach the other side of the board. Blocking your way are a number of demons, which move toward you each time you make a move. Neither you nor the demons can move diagonally.
You move Guy using the keyboard. There are movement pads centered around the 'D' and 'K' keys as well as the numberpad. Movement is best explained by using an illustration:

You can also pass (not move during) your turn by using the 'D', 'K', and '5' keys.
The difficulty and number of demons are configurable. These values can be changed using the "Settings" option on the File menu. Note: if you edit the number of demons, the change will not go into effect until the next game.

Features in Development
Guy Smiley is by no means finished. Right now, I╒m working on adding digitized sound, the ability to resize the window (to take advantage of monitors smaller and larger than 13"), and a nifty title screen. After that, you can look for animated sprites and integrated music. Is there anything else you╒d like added? Drop me a note!
